| I am sooo excited. Today I found out that I will be able to graduate in May (or at least walk with a few credits pending). Some of you may be thinking, "I thought you knew that a long time ago." But the past few weeks have been very uncertain... not being able to get into classes... classes not being offered... etc. etc. etc. But today I got approval from the Graphic Design II instructor to take the class without having Graphic Design I. This not only made me super excited because it means I will have enough credits to graduate, but it also made me feel good because I got the approval based on an excellent reference from one of my former teachers. (Good thing he did not get the reference from my summer instructor... have to say I was a little distracted during that class.) The only bad thing is, though, the class is on Wednesday nights - LOST night! We will have to find someone to tape it for us of course. We only have 2 discs left (8 episodes) before we finish season 2. We have watched a total of 40 episodes since Christmas. There is something about laying in bed watching TV with a snack and the love of your life that is just wonderful! This weekend we are going to go to Kansas and help Luke's sister and brother-in-law work on their basement. We found out at Christmas, but as of last week we can officially announce that we are going to have a little neice or nephew!!! They want to get the basement before the baby comes (which is due July 14) and it gives Luke a chance to work with his new tools. We went to visit the Celebrity Homes office again yesterday. In the next week, we are supposed to be hearing from the person they do financing with to set up a meeting. She can help us determine if and what we can afford. We are very excited. If we do it we will be moving in July or August. Man, the summer seems to be filling up rather quickly!
Ashley- we just filled out a little card probably 2 1/2 years ago. I bet you could ask your server the next time that you go. | | |
| I am sure that everyone is ecstatic to know that the Thompson Blog site is once again being maintained. It has been a busy last couple of months, but January has brought a little lighter load and that is great. We celebrated Luke's birthday today by going shopping and then to Red Robin. He gets a free birthday burger coupon in his email every year. Although, I tend to wonder if they realized it was him that stirred many complaints by those women that heard the incident, they may revoke his membership to the birthday burger club :). Yadi is getting big and curious, and her teeth and claws are as sharp as ever. I used to not want her to grow up b/c I didn't think she would be as cute. Now I am craving the day when she is a little more calm. Of course I still love her and let her share my pillow at night. The purrs put me to sleep! Mostly all is well and I don't think I could ever ask for anything more than God has given me. | | |
| Paul, we thought we might advise you to play some checkers this weekend, being as that is the only way that the Sooners will win a game this weekend. Go Huskers!! | | |
| I just finished my biggest unit for my Daniel/Revelation online class. I am glad that it is done, but the time and effort was well worth it. What an amazing subject! Did you know that there are several beautitudes in the book of Revelation. The first one is Revelation 1:3, "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near." How often people say that these things are not practical to their lives, or that they complicate things too much. Apparently God has a different perspective! | | |
